AT&T Upstander Program
The AT&T Cyberbullying Initiative is a collaborative effort between Prince George’s County Public Schools, the University of Maryland College Park, and AT&T designed to evaluate and inform students and parents about cyberbullying intervention in their schools. The program involves three phases, including data collection, data presentation and implementation of an ambassador mentorship initiative
College Park Aviation Museum / UMD Aerospace Engineering
In 2016, the University of Maryland Department of Aerospace Engineering recently donated an American Sportcopter Ultrasport 496 helicopter to the College Park Aviation Museum. In addition, the department loaned the museum a wind tunnel for use by both UMD students and the museum as part of their educational programming.
College Park Day
The Office of Community Engagement brings University of Maryland units to be a part of this annual College Park Festival. This event celebrates the City of College Park with a community expo, live entertainment, food trucks, inflatables, and more. It is an excellent opportunity to connect with the community and share knowledge about college education.
Estudios Universitarios A Su Alcance - A College Education is Within Your Reach
Prince George's County Public School system and the University of Maryland partner for this annual event for a free bilingual (Spanish and English) college access and preparation workshop. The main goal of the program is to provide extensive and appropriate information regarding the college preparation and entrance process to Latinx families in Prince George’s County. The event includes a bilingual campus tour and college/resource fair.
Learning Together
Students enrolled in Learning Together/Aprendiendo Juntos, a special topics Spanish and SLLC course led by Dr. Ana Patricia Rodriguez, will have the opportunity to work in a local school, teaching English to parents and tutoring children as part of service-learning requirement for the course. Students gain hands-on experience in education, social services, translation/interpretation, communication, and business. The class format consists of lecture, discussion, blogging, digital storytelling, and collaborative group work in and outside of the classroom.
M-NCPPC Hispanic Festival
This annual event in Langley Park celebrates the rich heritage of Hispanic communities and includes cultural entertainment, ethnic food, crafts, and wide participation from community organizations. This event attracts over 10,000 people. The Office of Community Engagement brings Univesity of Maryland units to participate, connect with community members off campus, and share knowledge about college education.

Al-Huda School
Located in the North College Park area, The Al-Huda school is an independent K-12 school that serves Muslims from across the National Capital region. The school has partnered with the University of Maryland's School of Public Health to create the "Healthy Al-Huda 2020" initiative. The Al-Huda school also supports the Office of Community Engagement's Good Neighbor Day food drive to benefit the College Park Community Food Bank.
Big Ten Network - LiveBIG
BTN LiveBIG shines a light on the community of Big Ten students, faculty and alumni who are making a difference. BTN LiveBIG featured the CP Dream Team in a televised promotional video and assisted with marketing efforts for CP Dream Team's first ever participation in a Maryland Women's Basketball game in 2017.
Cherokee Lane Elementary School
An elementary school in Adelphi that serves many of the residents of College Park Woods, Cherokee Lane Elementary School has partnered with the University of Maryland to host after-school programs and participate as a service site for the 6th Annual Good Neighbor Day event.
City of College Park
As a "Smart Place To Live," the City of College Park is home to the University of Maryland and a wide variety of shops, restaurants, attractions and recreational opportunities. The City partners with the Office of Community Engagement for CP Dream Team, Good Neighbor Day, after-school programs, community events, and business partnerships.
The Clarice
The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center is creating the NextNOW. We are building the future of the arts by educating, training and presenting the next generation of artists and creative innovators. By shaping NextNOW audiences, experiences, and artists, The Clarice breaks through traditional boundaries in art-making and audience development through the work of its 5 partners: The School of Music, The School of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies, The National and International Artist Partner Program, The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, and The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library.
College Park Academy
At College Park Academy, students enjoy a blended approach to learning. Young scholars come to school excited about the variety of technology tools they have at their disposal, while experiencing social interactions with their peers, and the numerous adults that support them socially and academically.
